so fast and one year has passed!! and now the sec 4s alrdy stepped down. I WILL BE BACK SOON to visit you guys, before you ALL start graduating and the next time i get back, i DONT KNOW anyone!!!

hope the sec 1s enjoy their lives in BPCO, cos BPCO is really so warm, FAR FAR better than NJCO. but the sec 3s! do consider coming to NJC via DSA next year. i PROMISE it will be WARM for you, it just isnt for me :/

have a nice day and for the sec 4s, study hard!! after Os! you can play all you like, earn MONEY as much as u like and SPEND $$$$ as fast as you can :D

Hey! This is weiqian, perhaps the first secondary one student posting something on the strings blog. Since we have received a message about the strings blog and not forgetting its user name and password, i presume that we are free to post anything on the blog, except for vulgarities or others. ( you should know)

This Friday, Chinese orchestra people are invited to join the 50th anniversary celebration which also include the dinner. To me, the tickets are still very expensive even though the price of the tickets is cut down by half price ( 40-20) Maybe some may think that this is a good oppunity to spend your time with your friends and enjoy the performance at the same time.

I feel that this $20 can spent on other places such as.....

Got to go now. It is time for chinese orchestra. Feel free to commend on my post:D

Yea. So ytd supposingly is the last practice for the sec4s. But i didn't even really go to the practice -.- All thanks to the oral. From 3+ we wait until 5+ . Great. And in the end I am late for my tuition for 35mins. Oh whatever.

Heyhey. Hmm, wondering if this is going to be my last post here.. Haha.

Anw, just here to inform anyone who is concerned about Strings/ BPCO that the sec4s seniors are stepping down this Friday, 23.04.2010 , which is the official step-down date for all sec fours. :D

Honestly, I don't know to be elated or depressed/sad. Elated because YAY no more staying back, can go home and study etcetc. Depressed because, COME ON LA, BPCO, esp strings, have been with me these four years. Everything changes, but BPCO has been with me all along. So.. it's kind of contradicting.. Urgh.

According to Ruizhi, the juniors gonna have a farewell party for the about-to-step-down seniors this wednesday. Thanks juniors, in advance.

Tmr still have CO practice , from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. (so late -.-) Yea, maybe it's going to be my last practice because I can't be sure if I will have time to go for the practice on Friday (got internal oral). Wanna take pictures. Must have a strings 全家福! :D Teehee~

Omg omg, so bad, nobody update the blog. Oh wells, it's 2o1o now! :D Good eh. NO not good, when you are sec4. Ha. So busy lo. Anw, Sec one juniors joined BPCO ytd:) We got like 7 Sec 1s join:D Got a few know how to play strings so good! Ooh, one very interesting thing is that WEI LING'S SISTER GOT INTO BPCO STRINGS TOO:D Being a RESPONSIBLE Stupid Leader (WAHAHA!) I've been finding for this mysterious Teo Wei Qian the whole practice ytd lo. Thank goodness, she joined strings in the end. Phew! If not Wei Ling will kill me, no?

Oh oh, this Saturday BPCO got performance @ Lot 1 Community Library. I not sure which part of the library, but well just library. Hoho. Not the whole CO is going to perform, 'cause the place that we are going to perform @ is too small. Oh wells. So this performance only got sec 4s and some sec3s. For Strings, ppl who are performing are: Jiaqi Aida Shulei Rachel Jiawen Jieling SiHui Ruth. And of course moi!:D oh suddenly occur to me it's all GIRLS. That's why i say girls rock! Wahaha.

We are performing one song with Gamelan, called Usik-Asik. And there will be some solo. For strings it will be 骏马夺标. Cool eh. Two years ago song we have to perform again. :D

The performance should be open to public. :)

Okay, sorry for not updating about the strings outing ;P So we went to sentosa, but everyone seemed so sian. Oh wells, we played some lame games @ Palawan Beach.. And I FORGOT TO BRING VOLLEYBALL. Lol, so we used my chicken to play haha:) We played Dog and Bone, Captain's ball, and water bomb. AND THEN it started to rain sobs! We ate our lunch outside 7-eleven (MAGGIE!) and went to watch 2012 @ Vivo. 2012 is nice, go watch if you haven't haha:) Oooh, I only have some pictures.. The others are with Jieling :l

don't think too much about the results of Choir and Dance. it's Choir and Dance. not BPCO. these 3 CCAs are totally different even though we are all performing acts. so don't worry too much. just do your part.

Eunice, hope you did tell your section these things yeh. some little things do help. just be confident in what you are playing, most importantly, enjoy yourself. :)

hey juniors. you guys are only left with 4 days. actually 3 days technically. just give your very best during the last 2 practices, and of course, on that day itself. it's just next Monday. do your best okay!

anyway, I have realised some things yesterday when I went back. 'kay, it's great to see that most of you are giving your best during the practice. most of you tried to move while playing. that's great. really. just keep up with it yeh. but some of you are just like STUCK there. cannot move at all. too stiff! some examples you can look at for the moving while playing are RuiZhi (as usual) and Rachel. even though Rachel's a bit exaggerating. but I think it's nice. the GHs have better movements. ShuLei was quite stiff. it's like a diagonal, from Jorin to Rachel. those behind them are quite stiff. so MOVE PEOPLE. MOVE.

next thing. I can see that all of you have memorised the scores. good good. jiayou 'kay. don't be nervous/scared/anxious/whatever on Monday that you forget the scores. just treat it as normal practice. just treat the judges as the principal and teachers looking at you playing. and the audiences are your friends. nothing will happen. it's just another performance. right. so don't worry yeh. especially Jorin arrrrr. don't forget that part for chan ge. even though that part may be a lot of notes and messy. just sleep with your scores la. they will seeeeeep into your brain. hahaha. 'kay, I'm just kidding about this. :)

'kay. most importantly. when you forget your score or you play wrongly. don't stick your tongue out! don't stop there! continue to move your handS like you are playing correctly. follow your partner if you are lost. TRY not to show that you are lost or you play wrongly.

look confidence! smile if you want. be neat and tidy! SIT STRAIGHT. don't slouch. it's a NO NO. look at the conductor whenever need be.

'kay, that's about it. oh, and sleeeeeep early on Sunday guys! sufficient rest is important! so sleep early! :D And remember the parts when you are supposed to go soft, loud and stuff like that. you can have movements for these as well. :)

12 more days to SYF le...Please do not fall sick during this critical period of time...(not that you can fall sick after SYF lar...=)) But do take of yourself besides working very hard for SYF...for our moment on stage...;) it's the last stretch le...=) Jiayous wor!!! Your should have memorised your scores by now hor...those who are guilty...please make good use of these 4 days...and more movements from you guys...(inclusive of me lar...=)) If we all do it together it will be very nice de...not awkward...yar...so...Enjoy your long weekend and see you on Saturday.=)

don't be upset that you aren't joining BPCO for the SYF on stage. it just meant that you aren't good enough, as compared to the others. so there's no point to be upset.

and even though you won't be on stage, your spirit (or whatever) will always be with them. you can still be a helper. you can pray for them. you can help them in practices. like when you see/know/listen that they are playing wrongly, you can enlighten them and tell them the right way. it doesn't really matter if you are going for the SYF a not. cause it's just an experience. an unforgettable and special one, of course. but just accept that you aren't going for SYF.

but you can still practise hard. cause you never know who might be sick/injured/whatever on the day of SYF, and you can get to replace the person. however, I hope this won't happen. so juniors, take good care of yourself ALWAYS, not only for SYF.

school has started. how's school life? still okay? good luck for those who are sec4s now! jiayou for Os yeh. &of course to the sec5s, jiayou for Os too! :D

&for those who have become sec3, all the best. get use to your new class soon and fast, and start mugging! don't slack away. just keep up a pace which you think it's alright for you. you'll see if the pace suits you a not after CT1. the results tell everything. :)

&if you think your Physics is CMI alr, don't give up yeh. there's always help. for both sec3s and 4s, you can sign up for A Square program by the school, which a tuition program whereby the alumni are the tutors. :) or alternatively, you can go to Mr. Loh. he's a VERY GOOD Physics teacher. :D you can ask JieWei, KaiTing or QiYuen for his number. 'cause all 3 of them go to him. LOL. Regina, BoChao, WeiQi, Gladys and I went to him last year too. so if we all get A1, the credits go to him and our hardwork (of course). :)

&for those sec2s now, don't slack hor. it's your streaming year. must mug hard too. don't slack then end up like me in a ~~lousy~~notsogood class. :]

&there's always seniors and teachers to look up to when you have trouble in study.

for (double) Maths, you can look for Mr.Tai or Mr. Peacock.
for Chemistry, you can look for Ms. Chew or a lady-which-idk-her-surname. Ms Or (?) or something like that. lol.
for Physics, I'd said alr. but our school Physics teachers are still not that bad la. MrChin is quite good too. must listen in class then you'll know how to do those tests our school set. :)
for English, 靠你自己。哈哈
for Chinese, there's a lot of teachers to look for. in fact, you can look up to any Chinese teacher. 'cause our school Chinese is good de lor! :D
for Humanities, (same as English).

Oh well, the outing is/was successful! Though it rains and something else happened but yea, overall it's not bad. Heard that seniors'd enjoyed themselves! :)

Like finally we've decided on where we are going for the Strings section outing. Details are as below:) :

Time: 10am - evening(not sure what time though)
Meet @: Either Cck MRT control station OR Woodlands MRT control station. ( Please tell me where you are going to meet!)

In case it rains(TOUCH WOOD!)
We'll watch a movie i guess. So best if it doesn't rain. :)

well, as most of you know, we'll most probably having a CO outing in the november hols from around 14-21 nov? i cant rmb the exact dates but shld be around that few dates :D [in fact i left the paper at home n im not at home now D:]

so the sec 3s suggested having chalet at downtown east. but i cant go D: just like some of the sec 1s.

3. KALLANG LEISURE PARK!

there, we could watch a movie, bowl or iceskate but as the ice skating place is rather new, the prices may be higher D: as for Jurong Entertainment Centre, its closing down so we cant go there anymore? for JE, the price for iceskating is $15 per person in groups of 4.

however, the website for the kallang leisure park didnt state the price of iceskating so i would guess it to be around $20?

to get there, just go kallang mrt and take the shuttle bus at the designated time.

Prelims is starting for the sec4s tmw, not really official though. English papers are on Tuesday, & S.S. on Wednesday. there after, the main papers will start on 13aug to 22aug.

&at the same time, O level English Oral will be on. from 12aug to 25aug.
WeiLing's having her oral on 12aug. she's on the first day. ohh. wish her good luck. heard that the 4th/5th day batch will be the most difficult. yea. so. I'm considered lucky. I hope I'll do well. I got an A2 for prelims leh! mine's on the 18 btw. :)

so, juniors, wish your seniors good luck for Prelims and O level English Oral! :D

anyway, note to sec4s, the Prelims will determine whether you will get scholarships or Bursary Awards. $.$ haha, if you get it, you must treat it. it's not about PAE anymore though. it's more of money. heh.
okay, that's a realistic side of me. but I'm not always like that. that just one of the ways to spur me on to study for Prelims. seriously, I'm halfdead alr, way before prelims is starting. ):

&I know that CT for the other levels, including sec4NA, starts next tuesday with our main papers. so sad that you guys can't leave after your papers. haha. that's one advantage of having prelims than CT. -.- good luck people for your CT! though it doesn't really mean anything. just jiayou! :D
